“I see he’s very talented, a great shot-maker,” Federer said of his opponent. “He’s definitely got the talent to be a very tough opponent. Better be ready for some good shots coming my way.”

Former Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic of Serbia will take on USA’s Ryan Harrison. Though both players won their first matches very comfortably, it is expected that this round of matches will be good. But, the number one men’s seed will be looking for another easy victory.

Number one women’s seed Maria Sharapova will face Tsvetana Pironkova in the second round of the English Grand Slam Title. This will be a very exciting match and people are looking forward to see if last year’s runner-up can defeat last year’s quarter-finalist.

But the Russian is well ahead of the Bulgarian. Earlier this month, she won the French title, and after wining the first round at Wimbledon very easily, her confidence level will be very high, but Pironkova will still look to win the match at any cost.

Another good game could be on the cards, when Denmark’s Caroline Wozniacki faces Austria’s Tamira Paszek. Number seven seed Wozniacki, who has never reached the quarter final will be exciting to watch, when she takes last edition’s quarter-finalist Paszek.
