At the age of 33, this effective ends his international career. It’s been more than two years since he last played for the national team and he has now followed the path of Zimbabwe’s Brendan Taylor who recently signed a 3-year deal with Nottinghamshire.
“I’m delighted to have signed for such an ambitious club as Hampshire. I’m very much looking forward to my first taste of county cricket. It’s also an honour to follow other Bajans like Malcolm Marshall and Gordon Greenidge to Hampshire.” said Edwards upon signing the deal.
It will be interesting to see if he can reproduce the kind of pace and swing that made the Cricketing world take notice of him. He has played 55 Test Matches and 50 ODIs for the West Indies.
